WEDNESDAY’S WORD: BOUNDARIES 🌷

WEDNESDAY’S WORD: BOUNDARIES 🌷

This week, we’re talking about BOUNDARIES.

Boundaries aren’t about being mean, difficult, or shutting people out.

Boundaries are about knowing what you will and will not allow to have continued access to your peace, your purpose, your faith, and your growth.

And yes, that includes family, children, adult children, friendships, relationships, business, and even what you allow into your mind and spirit.

YOU CAN LOVE PEOPLE AND STILL HAVE BOUNDARIES.

Sometimes loving someone means saying:

“I love you, but I can’t allow this anymore.”

I’ve had people challenge my spiritual beliefs and try to convince me to see things differently.

But I’m not confused about what I believe.

My faith was strengthened during some of the hardest seasons of my life—especially while raising my girls and praying for God to guide us.

I remember what carried me then.

So I don’t have to argue with someone who believes differently. I can respect that we don’t agree while still deciding that certain conversations, messages, or influences don’t belong in my space.

And sometimes setting a boundary means creating distance.

Sometimes it means saying no.

And sometimes…

it means hitting the block button.

That’s okay too.

DON’T JUST GET OLDER. GROW FORWARD.

You can gain years without gaining wisdom.

You can change your age without changing your life.

Growing older happens naturally. Growing forward requires intention.

So this week, ask yourself:

Where do I need a boundary?

Is it with a person? A habit? A conversation? Your time? Your business? Your phone? Or something you’ve been allowing into your spirit?

You may not control what someone says or does, but you do have a say in what gets access to you.

📖 SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23

Guarding your heart doesn’t mean closing it.

It means being discerning about what you allow to live there.

🙏🏽 THIS WEEK’S PRAYER

Father, give us wisdom and discernment to recognize where boundaries are needed in our lives. Help us love people without losing ourselves and remain kind without compromising our peace, purpose, or faith. Give us the courage to establish healthy boundaries and the wisdom to honor them.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌸 HOLD ONTO THIS WORD ALL WEEK: BOUNDARIES.

Before you answer, react, respond, reconnect, or give someone access…

PAUSE.

Ask yourself:

“Does this support who I’m becoming, or is it pulling me back into who I’ve already outgrown?”

Carry that question with you this week.

And come back next Wednesday… because our next Word may challenge you to look at your growth from a completely different perspective.

Guard your heart. Protect your peace. Grow forward.
